Rock Legend Leather Leone Supports Animal Welfare in Southern Brazil

Legendary American rock singer Leather Leone, known as one of the most powerful voices in the global metal scene, has combined her passion for music and animals in a heartfelt philanthropic effort. In a move that’s making a difference in the local community, Leather has made a generous donation to two animal rescue organizations: Anjos de 4 Patas and Latidos Felizes, both based in Jandaia do Sul.

Rising to fame in the 1980s as the lead vocalist for the band Chastain, Leather has always had a deep love for animals. After taking a break from her music career in the 1990s, she pursued a new path in veterinary medicine. “Speaking for animals has always been a part of me,” she shared. “I threw myself into veterinary work, committed to helping not only hunting dogs but also guard breeds that are often mistreated.”

Leather’s bond with Brazil runs deep; she tours the country regularly and feels a strong connection to its culture. “My band is Brazilian, and I’ve built a loyal fanbase and cherished friendships here,” she said. “I’m honored to support organizations like these in Brazil.”

The donation effort was coordinated with the help of her friend and publicist, Isabele Miranda, who introduced Leather to the two nonprofits. Anjos de 4 Patas, led by animal advocate Rose Daldoso, and Latidos Felizes, headed by Sandra Pazini, will use the contributions — including food, medical supplies, and winter clothing — to care for rescued animals.

Leather Leone continues to prove that her commitment goes beyond the stage, championing vital social causes. Her generosity brings much-needed hope and support to vulnerable animals in Jandaia do Sul.
