Mariah Carey has better things to worry about than the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s snub, like Christmas!

The singer also confirmed that she will begin preparing for Christmas, which has become her signature holiday, “soon.”Yes, it’s April. But Carey has, after all, made an empire off the December festivities, thanks to her ubiquitous hit “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which has spawned more festive music, a tour, a family movie, and other holiday-themed delights.

Carey had been expected by many of her fans to have had the honor bestowed upon her by now. She’s sold more than 200 million albums and 19 of her singles have reached the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 — a record for the chart.
