Five Spiritual Practices for Better Sleep

A good night’s sleep is essential for the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of any individual. However, many people face significant challenges when night falls, including insomnia, which can negatively affect their quality of life.

With that in mind, renowned spiritualist Kélida Marques shares four powerful rituals, based on her vast spiritual experience, that promise to help overcome insomnia and improve sleep.

Relaxing Herbal Bath: Prepare a bath with herbs such as chamomile, lavender, and melissa. After your regular hygiene bath, pour the herbal mixture from your neck downwards while visualizing negative energy being removed from your body. Spiritualist Kélida explains, “This bath assists in the purification and relaxation of the body, promoting a sense of tranquility, ideal for a restorative night’s sleep.”

Calming Tea: Before going to bed, prepare a passionflower, valerian, or lemon balm tea. Drink it slowly, allowing calmness and relaxation to take over. Kélida emphasizes, “These herbs have relaxing properties that calm the nervous system, aiding in the fight against insomnia.”

Cozy Environment: Create a sleep-friendly environment by making your bedroom a peaceful sanctuary. Use soft colors on the walls, maintain an appropriate temperature, and avoid the presence of electronic devices. According to Kélida, “A welcoming environment free of distractions helps the body and mind prepare for restorative sleep.”

Guided Meditation: Dedicate a few minutes before bed to guided meditation. Focus on your breath, visualize yourself in a tranquil place, and repeat positive affirmations such as “I am at peace” and “My sleep is calm and restorative.” Meditation induces relaxation and calms the mind, warding off worries and thoughts that may interfere with sleep.

Crystals: Place an amethyst or rose quartz crystal near your bed. “These crystals are known for their relaxing and calming properties, and they can help create a sleep-friendly atmosphere,” adds the spiritualist.

By following these rituals, you will pave the way for a peaceful and restful night’s sleep, allowing your body and mind to rejuvenate properly. Additionally, the spiritualist emphasizes that nothing can replace the guidance of a healthcare professional: “It is always important to seek the assistance of a professional for sleep-related issues. These rituals serve to relax and provide a peaceful night’s sleep, but if the problem persists, do not hesitate to consult a doctor.”
