Luana Maia releases “Linguagem Paulista,” a manifesto of identity, growth, and peripheral strength

São Paulo-based artist Luana Maia unveils “Linguagem Paulista,” a track that goes beyond a single release, it’s part of a broader artistic movement built on intention, concept, and authenticity.

Blending funk with striking trap beats, the song features collaborations with DJ KLP, DJ Menezes, and MC LC Kaique, artists who bring power, authenticity, and connection to the project. The result is a pulsating, urban, and contemporary sound that captures the essence of São Paulo’s outskirts with strength and identity.

“Linguagem Paulista” emerges as a reflection of real-life experiences: personal growth, conscious love, overcoming naivety, facing fears, and the daily practice of self-belief. In the chorus, Luana reinforces a mantra: “I will be myself to achieve,” turning the track into a space for affirmation and liberation from limiting thoughts.

“I made this track thinking about who I am and how much I need to believe in myself. Regardless of the slang I use or how I dress, I deserve to achieve what I’m aiming for. But I’ve had doubts and fears like anyone from the favelas. So I turned that into strength,” the artist explains.

Unlike her previous release, “Breck e Chave,” which carried a more laid-back vibe, “Linguagem Paulista” takes on a more conscious and reflective tone. The message is clear: identity is not an obstacle, it’s a source of power.

MC LC Kaique’s contribution aligns naturally with both artists’ current creative moment. Going through a transition in style and musical direction, he connected with Luana’s concept and added the authenticity needed to complete the track’s narrative.

“When I received the song, it already had Luana’s voice talking about identity something I was also going through at the time. I really connected with it and wrote my part very quickly,” says the MC. “Later, we realized we were experiencing similar reflections about artistic and personal identity, which made everything fit even better within the song.”

With “Linguagem Paulista,” Luana Maia reinforces her artistic identity and sets her sights on an ambitious future: taking her music to other states and countries, collaborating with artists who inspire her, and, above all, impacting girls from the outskirts, showing them that it’s possible to dream and achieve.

“I will be myself to achieve” is more than just a lyric. It’s a statement. A promise. A path forward.
