The Heathen Scÿthe: Debut track “Into the Fire” is now available

The Heathen Scÿthe is a project formed in 2018 in São Paulo, bringing a Heavy Metal sound with a unique identity, mixing modern elements from genres like Industrial Metal and Nu-Metal with more epic elements found in classic metal.

The band’s characteristic Tritone and Phrygian and Diminished scales make room for more melodic pop-like choruses and Gang-Screams commonly found in modern songs. The project, considered cinematic, features well-known musicians/actors from the scene portraying the following characters:

Tato Deluca as Da’at (Vocal)

Bruno Luiz as Netzah (Guitar)

Paulo Roveri as Hesed (Guitar)

Flávio Sallin as Hokhmah (Keyboard)

Fernando Giovannetti as Yesod (Bass) Marcus Dotta as Malkhuth (Drums).

The group’s debut music video was shot in São Paulo, directed by Thiago Larenttes. Mixing and mastering were done by German producer Lasse Lammert (Raven, Wind Rose, and Gloryhammer).

The track “Into the Fire” is about the fire sacrifice, an important part of a ritual where an offering is made to gods like Belenos and Hephaestus, as well as the guardians of the Southern Watchtower.

The acceptance of the offering symbolizes that the magical work has been completed and the ritual can progress to its conclusion with the spiral dance, opening of the circle, and the release of the egregore.

The official video was released on Tuesday (08/29) and is now available. It will feature the members of the sect performing their instruments amidst explosions of fire for the first time. “Into the Fire” will be part of the first self-titled EP of the Brotherhood of the Scythe (The Heathen Scÿthe).

The EP will include a complete ceremonial magic ritual where the purpose of the sect is decreed. According to the band’s vocalist, Tato Deluca, the work is the culmination of a lifetime of effort: “This work was carried out by experienced musicians who have been trying to pave their way in the complex Brazilian Heavy Metal market for years,” he says.
