Mariana Lewis, the first Brazilian to be accepted into London’s prestigious Guildhall School of Music & Drama, is celebrating a new phase in her international career. The young artist, who has already won “Best Actress” awards at various international festivals, has excelled both in Brazil and abroad. Recently, she starred alongside Cl\u00e1udia Alencar in the Brazilian Canal Demais production \u201cQueen Lear\u201d, and now she’s celebrating new projects on the English scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The actress has just signed an 18-month contract for a major theatrical production, which begins in a few months in England. “It’s an incredible opportunity to be part of a live super-production based on a famous Hollywood franchise. I’m very excited!” Mariana reveals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This won’t be the first time the artist has charmed English audiences with her stage presence. Earlier this year, Mariana was part of the cast of William Shakespeare’s “The Winter’s Tale,” performed at the prestigious Silk Street Theatre, located in the Barbican Centre, one of London’s main cultural and artistic hubs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Rehearsals start next month, and as soon as I can, I’ll share more details,” the artist states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With high expectations and visibly happy, Mariana shares her immense joy at being able to step onto the stage once again in the city where she resides. “I’m sure it will be a unique experience, and I’m very excited about what’s to come, both here abroad and in Brazil,” the actress adds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Mariana recently brought the character of Cordelia to life in the series “Queen Lear” The character is the queen’s youngest daughter, played by Cl\u00e1udia Alencar. The project is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” with a version conceived by Quentin Lewis, Mariana’s father and also editor and director of Canal Demais \u2013 the production company responsible for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Showing herself to be an increasingly multifaceted young woman, the actress recently launched the book “O Orfeu de Londres” in partnership with her father, Quentin Lewis.
