Spine Shiver Releases “Highway Night” and Strengthens the Connection Between Rock, the Road, and Speed

With Southern Rock influences and references such as Blackberry Smoke, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Van Halen, the São Paulo-based band consolidates its partnership with Nascar Brasil and presents a new single full of rock and roll attitude.

Spine Shiver, formed in the countryside of São Paulo in 2018, has been establishing itself as one of the most intense bands in the new Brazilian rock scene. Blending originality, powerful stage energy, and strong Southern Rock influences, the group draws inspiration from classic names such as Blackberry Smoke, ZZ Top, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and Van Halen, translating these references into a unique and contemporary sonic identity of their own.

The band’s latest release is the single “Highway Night,” whose music video premiered this week, reinforcing Spine Shiver’s direct connection with the world of the open road, speed, and automotive culture. The track also marks the strengthening of their partnership with NASCAR Brasil — a union that reflects the free and rebellious spirit connecting rock music to the racetrack.

For vocalist Eli Colt, the link between the two worlds is almost historic:
“NASCAR was born from car races involving drivers who transported alcohol during the American Prohibition era — what could be more Rock and Roll than that? Spine Shiver’s partnership with NASCAR Brasil clicked from the very beginning, and there’s much more to come!”

In addition to releasing the new single, the band recently gained major visibility by performing the Brazilian National Anthem in a rock and roll version broadcast on TV through ESPN and Disney+, further reinforcing their versatility and media impact.

Currently formed by Eli Colt (vocals), Guss Kbello (guitar), Md Rock (bass), and Rick Koba (drums), Spine Shiver continues to expand its presence in the national scene, accumulating achievements and standing out as one of the most authentic forces in contemporary Brazilian rock.
