Britney Spears Breaks Silence on Getting Slapped By NBA Player Victor Wembanyama’s Security Team

Spears addressed the incident in a second social media note

“I’ve been working in the industry for years and have been with some of the most famous people in the world … not one time in my life has a security guard ever hit another person!!!” she wrote via Instagram on Friday, July 7. “I’m not sharing this to be a victim. I SIMPLY GET IT HONESTLY … my reaction was priceless … BAD ??? YES … I’ve had documentaries done about me and none of which I approved … I have felt helpless in most situations and my experience in Vegas and my reaction was a cry out on all levels.”

Spears noted that she is still a “huge fan” of Victor Wembanyam. “It’s not his fault his security hit me … s—t happens,” she added.

Original story below: Britney Spears spoke out about the altercation that took place between her and NBA player Victor Wembanyama’s security team. “Traumatic experiences are not new to me and I have had my fair share of them. I was not prepared for what happened to me last night,” Spears, 41, wrote via her Instagram Story on Thursday, July 6, one day after the incident.

“I recognized an athlete in my hotel lobby as I was heading to dinner. I later went to a restaurant at a different hotel and saw him again. I decided to approach him and congratulate him on his success.” Spears went on to explain she “tapped” Wembanyama, 19, on the shoulder on Wednesday, July 5, to “get his attention” since the area “was really loud.”
